air filter's ??????

i was just wondering if anyone has put a K&N air filter on there FZ6R and if so do you notice any difference.

Drill holes on the bottom of the air filter box right below where the air filter sits. It helps.

He's completely right. You can hear the bike sucking air easier when opening the throttle past 75% and the response is quicker, much quicker. Did some major boring out of the bottom about 6000 miles ago and still going strong.

Lol no offense taken btw. I kinda meant to sound skeptical..

Anyway I didnt cut the whole thing... but i pretty much drilled like +20 holes right below where the air filter sits on the box. Just cut/drill holes there only.

agreed I believ that it will help airflow but still not 100% sure where to cut the holes? and how big the holes should be. Pics would be great. Im sure they need to be upstream of the filter? otherwise you are defeating the point of a filter.

ok take your air box lid off
remove your air filter
drill holes underneath where the air filter was
there is already one big hole there but more is better
i took the box out and cut that whole bottom off it =)
