Yup, if there's an ambulance on the way, only deal with critical matters. In all but one of the motorcycle crashes I've dealt with, all I did on the scene was instruct others to block the area with their cars, then did a quick check for bleeding, stabilized the spine and made the guy as comfortable as possible.
By Blocking do you mean stopping the flow of traffic or do you mean creating a safe zone? Over here only the police have the power to stop traffic, first responders can only warn oncoming drivers of the hazard ahead, if some idiot wants to ignore the guy standing by a bike warning folks of the hazard ahead 200ft down the road then it's that retards choice..is the law different in the states?
