'09 FZ6R Question

Hey guys, I just picked up an immaculate '09 FZ6R with about 7k miles on it. It's bone stock and looks and sounds fine EXCEPT I have one issue...

When I rev the engine in idle up around 6-8k rpm and let go of the throttle I have a sound that is similar to a bad catalytic converter in a car as if the baffling is worn out. Any ideas what that could be? Is there a cat on this bike?

Thanks!

Post some pics of your new bike, just for fun.

Catalytic converters are required by law on the bike. but the previous owner might have ruined it on purpose for more power.. or, its just plain bad.

no shame in having a dealer inspect it, especially right after you bought it.

welcome aboard by the way.

Thanks! I'll have to take it in for a quick inspection. Here's a pic of it. I just ordered the short mirrors from a ninja and a short windscreen too. No other mods otherwise.
