hitting

Hello guys, this is my first post on this forum. I just got a 2009 fz6r in blue. My main concern for now is that the steering bars are hitting the gas tank when turned all the way, how do i fix it?

I'm about to order Woodcraft 41mm clip ons. I was wondering if anyone knew if I had to get the ones with the 1.5" rise to keep from hitting the tank. If anyone has had any experience with the regular clip-ons hitting the tank. I have my bike converted into a streetfighter so their wont be any...
