Thanks Dart & Bleedinblue and the Forum for the Birthday Wishes on my big day! My coworkers put up this sign on the airport roadway so I, along with the general public couldn't forget! Wanted to ride to Tahoe today, but with the recent snow and wind there was too much sand/pine needles to...
Yep, had that kind of day today also. Gorgeous day, too. Husband and I geared up for a ride to Lake Tahoe for a little lunch, fall color and sun. Knew I was in trouble on the way to the gas station. Felt off, going wide on turns, wobbly, couldn't judge speed going into turns, etc. Just took...
Being just over the hill from you in Reno, there is such a lack of humidity in our areas - we suffer from the same malady (minus the itching). I bought the Heat Out long johns & shirt from Cycle Gear when they were on sale. While the quality is questionable, I think they are better than...

Thanksgiving weekend 2011. Lake Tahoe, no wind. Taken with a Nikon D5100. Kind of new to the DSLR, but loving it. Enjoying everyone else's pix - NICE!!!
Uhhh slow down and stay in his lane? If he had, he would've missed the car. He looked magnetically attracted to the midsection of that turning car! True to form...you go where you look!!!
Welcome to the forum and to riding!! We (husband and I) were in the same boat as well, new bikes and a month to the class (2007). Like you, we live on a cul-de-sac, started off slow, then around the neighborhood gaining a little speed, working our way to the busier neighborhood streets and...
