Made a trade of fz6r for 1000 Ninja

thanks for the support. I am 70 years old and not a expert on the proper protocol for these forums. I guess the problems came when people posted a message instead of sending me a e mail as I requested in my post. I got one email followed by a payment at pay pal and I sent the guy the seat. The...

I bought them on E Bay I don't remember if they had a brand name or just a pic and description. I am sorry I am unable to post a picture. They are made of Black Delrin, the right side bolts straight on to a engine bolt. The left side has a two piece with an offset to clear the plastic'. They...

NEW 2011 Ninja 1000? Upright Riding Position.

Z1000 vs FZ1 I rode both at Bike week in Daytona in March. I am quite sure the Z will beat the FZ1 with no problem. I also owned a 2005 fz1 and that was a good bike. The new Ninja 1000 is not out yet but it sounds similar although there are some diffs. But yamahas and Kawsaki's are like Ford...

Tell me "how to" remove front sprocket

those are used to adjust the chain and it is important that they are equal spaced on each side. (see marks on each side).

    contemplating

I owned a 07 650 ninja and put about 11k on it. It is a good bike but I like the fz6r better because of the brakes and suspension seem to be much better to me even though they are both non adjustable except for the rear pre-load. The fueling on the fz6r is one of the best on any newer bike I...

    Long Term Review FZ6R

Well I thought he was a little hard on the bike. He said he learned on the bike so not a lot of experience. As for my experience I started rideing in 1962 on a 250 Ducati. I rode for 20yrs and quit in 1980 and resumed in 2004. Since 2004 I have owned a number of bikes including...FZ1,1250...

End of driveway=dump bike with 17 miles on it

I see you are in Denver. I spent most of my life working in Denver and living in Littleton. Moved to Florida after retirement in 1994. Love the year round rideing. Take the Motorcycle Safety Course, you will learn more and safely than being self taught. Also it will save a bunch on Insurance...

Stepping up: What would it be?

The most fun ride for me at Daytona Bike week was the new Kawaski Z100. It is a rocket ship, upright rideing position, great suspension(fully adjustable),great brakes. This is a great step up for someone wanting more. List price I think is $10,495.

what age is every one ?

I will turn 70 in August. Started rideing in 1962 on a 250 Ducati, rode for 20yrs on a variety of bikes and quit in 1980. Started rideing again in 2004 and have owned 10 bikes since 2004. They included sv650 Suzuki,650Ninja,FZ1,and 1250 Bandit with a few cruisers thrown in for good measure...

    Speed wobble

I don't consider that a true wobble, like a high speed tank slapper. I think lots of bikes will wobble if you take both hands of the bars. I don't think I would worry unless it is wobbling while you are holding it still.

Two Brothers Juice Box + Header?

Owldaddy you make a lot of sense. I feel the same about the power and performance of this bike. I have had the bigger faster bikes and I have found I like this size. If money was no issue I would consider the two bro and Juice box. But not a jury rigged set up.

    Food for thought

I agree with jonkerr that the two bro system with juice box will not require a dyno tune, it will just take about $1000. I say if you have the funds go for that. If you feel the need for the extra power. I have had a FZ1 and a 1250 Bandit and I like this bike just fine.
