I feel ya and I appreciate it. Y'all have really got me second guessing this now. I bought the bike brand new and the dealership put the lowering link and kickstand on for me. I lowered the front myself. I also checked to make sure the seat was in the lowest position. I guess you're right...
I can tip-toe on both sides if standing it straight up. I can flat-foot if I lean it to one side. I really just like to be able to sit flat-foot on it completely. I measured the drop. Its 2.25" in the front and 1.75" in the rear.
I have the forks sitting right on the bottom of the handlebars. Front is as low as it will go with the stock bars. Front fender already bottoms out on the horn sometimes. Might put a set of clip ons on it and relocate the horn to go lower in the front.
Will post pic when complete. I'm dropping it off tomorrow morning and I will be picking it up Saturday. They guy told me parts and labor, he will do it for less than $150. Its gonna be tubular, show quality since it is so visible. Will update when complete.
Oh, and by the way, I'm like 5'2"...
Oh well, nevermind. I found a custom bike shop near the house. They are gonna keep my bike for a few days and use it as a mock up and they are gonna custom make one for me. Gonna ride like crap, but maybe I will be sitting more comfortably.
I already have a Roaring Toyz drop link on the rear, but I seriously wanna go a lot lower. I know I'm gonna get a lot of flack and shaking heads about this, but oh well. I'm really short and I have a little bit of a hard time holding my bike up sometimes. Does anyone know where I can get a strut...
I saw that one. I guess I need a definitive answer wether or not you have to have a fuel controller or not. I like the way it sounds and I want it to be loud as hell. I just don't wanna screw the motor up at that expense.
This might sound kinda wack, but I seriously thought about putting a baffled glass pack on it with a really nice looking tip and painting all the piping black. I really just wanna be different.
Thanks. I figured it would definitely jack up the air/fuel mixture. Just didn't know if would be enough to cause any damage. As for the neighbors, I live in an apt complex and I hardly ever ride it. Besides, they won't be able to hear it over their getto boomin bass music anyway.
Would there be any kind of problems if I was to cut off the stock muffler and just weld on a straight pipe with a nice tip on it?
Yes, I know how to use the search function. Yes I used it. No, I couldn't find anything referring to my particular question. I saw a guy on YouTube that did this...
I thought about doing this exact same thing. I have already done the "5 minute exhaust mod" and was wondering how much more sound I would get by just drilling a few small holes around the perimeter of the weld. Anyone think this would work and sound just as good in conjunction with the "5 min mod"?
Been reading on what a pita it is. I would hate to get one side done and be completeley unmotivated to do the other side. Like I said, I'm still on the fence about it.
Been thinking of peeling off the decal, but I thought the white would be a little too overwhelming. Was gonna do it when I first bought it, but then I saw some with the decal removed and I was on the fence about it then. I think it almost looks better with all the white broken up a little bit.
