6 months = approx 8500 miles on the 6R. I started riding dirt bikes when I was 12 or 13. When I was 18, I bought one of those little YSR's. I rode for about six months before I :wreck:then went 20 years without a bike (had kids).

I commute 60 miles each way. I really hated my commute until I started riding. Now, I can't drive to work without :rant: about the cage!

Thanks to all that responded so far! No, I haven't had any issues that weren't my fault (I blew a fuse after leaving wires untidy from my intergrated tail light install). As far as maintainance, I'll admit that I have failed. :spank: I'm changing the oil, and cleaning/lubing the chain this...

I normally browse the forum from the background, and I have enjoyed everyone's input. Although, this time I have to share a bit of a milestone for my bike...the 10,000 mile mark! My FZ6R Hits 10K Mile Mark by Henderson Images, on Flickr I bought the bike with around 4500 miles on it back...

Yea, I'll admit I was a squid at one point in my life. Before the helmet law here in CA, I was on the freeway doin' 80 with no helmet, a tee-shirt, and shorts. Although, I was still just a kid (about 19), it was squidish to say the least! :facepalm:

Helmet only? A little squid-like IMO. Once you add wreckless behavior then you're a full blown squid! :squid::mikebike:

I have a "Daytona 500" key chain. I picked one up while at the race this year (about three weeks before buying my 6R).

I heard that it was to help with braking, but I've seen a rider fail to pass because he would have took the other guy's leg off!
