Need Help I need help it’s my one and only way to get to work

I can't say if the heat is related to the problem or not but it does not sound like its running too hot where it will overheat the engine. The manual says that above 243F the coolant light will come one to alert you of overheating conditions. The temp you mentioned doesn't sound too hot...

Need Help I need help it’s my one and only way to get to work

It sounds logical that the problem is related to your plugs because you just changed them. Can you get a new set to try as they are pretty inexpensive? Do you have a Power Commander? I as because I had a PCV go bad and after riding in traffic it would have a rough idle and sometimes cut out...

    Insurance scare

So after calling for homeowners insurance I had my broker look to see what they could do for motorcycle insurance for the heck of it. I had progressive and was paying about 800yr with full coverage which I though I was happy with. She told me that my current policy didn't have personal medical...

Front brake fluid resivoir max level ??

Searched all over but couldn't find it. The front resivoir is only marked minimum but there is no marking for the max fill level. Is the max at the top of the clear circle? There is also a ridge inside the resivoir. Is that it? Thanks.

How cleaning my chain (probably) saved my life.

To OP on the new sprocket make sure you use lock tight on the threads and use a punch to dent the safety so it won't back off in the future.

How cleaning my chain (probably) saved my life.

There's already a lengthy thread on this. Search "chain maintenance". It's in the owners manual which can be found online. Every 600mi or whenever it gets wet. I use WD40 to clean then an o-ring safe lube. But you should really check out that other thread.

    Heat?

Im going to have to disagree with wearing Jeans. Regular jeans and other non-specific motorcle pants really won't do much in terms of protection. Like others have said get some good motorcycle specific pants. They will be cooler AND offer some protection. At the end of the day its a balance...

    Reasons to wear gear

I have the drayko riding jeans. They have a kevlar and dyneema blend which is suspossed to be superior to kevlar alone. I spend a long time looking between the various jeans and I went with them. I love them. But at the end of the day, they are ment for casual rides. Hard riding, get leather or...

    Fix-a-flat on my 6R?

OP said he was aware of the issues with fix a flat and used it in an emergrncy situation. Anyway like others have said I think you did we'll. I bet you got some bonus point with her by being able to fix the problem yourself. Women like that. It will make a memorable date. Thumbs up.

Hesitating/stalling for a couple minutes after starting

Do you guys have the power commander 5? I had a bad pc5 and it would do the same exact thing. I would rev it and when I cut the throttle, it would stall. Try the firmware update if u have one first.

    Sprocket & Chain Group buy.

Thanks for the updates guys. I just emailed Tyler requesting to send just the chain and front. I'll just buy a rear locally right now until I can replace it with the new one. As for the hat...I personally don't want to advertise for that company. They keep giving Tyler he ol' runaround. I am by...

    Moving Out

About the job, I'd say work the minimum that you need to survive. It's been proven that if you work more than 20 hrs a week, generally the grades will take a hit. College is the time of your life where you get to experience new things, meet new people and grow as a person. You have your whole...
