FS: NGK CR9E OEM plugs ~300 miles $6

I have a set of NGK OEM plugs that came in my 2009 FZ6R. I replaced them around 300 miles with Iridium plugs I had laying around. They look brand new and I feel bad throwing them out when someone could use them. Pay for shipping and you can have them

    Great first season for me.

Yeah I love my FZ6R also, but I don't ride it hard into the corners or push the bike. Next season I will be looking for something bigger. Got my eye on the Ninja 1000. I am not looking for the all out speed, but I would like a bike that can cruise along at 70 mph with less RPM and less buzz...

NY to NV trip - Change Oil?

Yeah Goldwing is just a little too big for my liking and I still want something sporty

So who else feels this way?

Yeap and just think if everyone rode a bike our dependence on foreign oil would be nill. I am here in Las Vegas now and I can't believe I don't see more people riding around because the weather is so nice here and it hardly ever rains

NY to NV trip - Change Oil?

I did enjoy my trip, however I am getting old (34) and I would really like to ride back through the northern route in spring time. I think I will be selling the FZ6R here in Las Vegas in April when I come back and buying something bigger and more comfortable to tour on and travel around town...

Novice - Choosing his first helmet?

I would say go to a motorcycle shop and try a bunch of different helmets on. Everyone has a different shaped head and I have found that different brands of helmets are shaped internally and fit different than others. I personally like the Scorpion EVO 500 and I think that will be my next...

NY to NV trip - Change Oil?

Well I am sitting at my house in Nevada and I made the trip without a hitch. I was wondering what everyone's thoughts are on changing my engine oil after the trip down here. Before I left I did a PureOne filter along with 3 qts of Mobil1 4T 10w40. The total trip was approximately 2300 miles...

    Oil Light

I am pretty sure the book specs the oil fill with filter at 2.96 QTS. I have always put in 3 quarts with a filter change and never had an issue

Buffalo, NY to Las Vegas, NV

Well still trying to get everything together and the bike off the swing arm stand. I hope to leave this Sunday or Monday. I got my seat back from Spencer, Burnsmoto USB cable (still need to install), the Cortech Tribag system and a new Joe Rocket jacket. I never could find a Puig screen so I...

    Lucas Oil - Injector Cleaner

Lucas is not the typical corrosive fuel system treatment. I have used it in powersport applications for years. It works real good in 2 stroke applications because of the lubricating properties

    Leo Vince exaust

I have the Leo Vince exhaust and I love it. It is not as loud as the TBR even with the silencer out but it is a nice different sound and is a good amount cheaper if you order it from BioHazard Cycles in FL

    Tire Balance & weights

Actually I was just looking at those Dyna Beads for motorcycle tires. I am thinking about ordering a kit and removing the lead weights altogether. The science behind them seems solid. Ever had any issues with them?

    Tire Balance & weights

Okay got my new Roadmaster 170/60-17 mounted and balanced today and I now have 50 grams, (1) 30 gram and (1) 20 gram. Does that seem like alot of weight to balance a motorcycle tire? Stock I only had 1, can't remember weather it was the 20 or 30 gram. I did notice on the tire that it had 2...

Buffalo, NY to Las Vegas, NV

Thank raybob and keep those suggestions coming. I will have to buy a pair of winter gloves, and currently I have an alpinestars stunt textile. I hope it is warm enough with the liner. A tire plug kit is a great idea, I could use the co2 inflator from my road bicycle. Any idea how many 12...
