I was told by a guy that works on and sells new bikes here in So Cal,
that the only cops that are concerned with after market exhausts are
in Huntington Beach and Newport Beach.
I have to agree with BillsbetO in his observation..
The police found my bike. It was pretty thrashed. Parts were missing and
there were scrapes and gouges down the sides. The ignition switch had been
changed so it obviously had been ridden.
Thanks for the support from everyone.
I lent my 6r to my son. Last week he had it chained
and when he went out the next morning it was
missing.
What a shame. It is too bad it is gone, she was such
a nice bike. We had so much fun.
I really feel badly for my son. He is so "down" about
it.
I found this on ebay.
It's a little less expensive if it works.

I know how you feel. I broke my hand several months ago and
was unable to ride until last week. I would go out to the garage and
just sit on it for awhile.
I had an '05 Road King. I experienced the "wobble" while going down
a hill about 80 mph and touched the brakes to slow down. It gave me
quite a scare. It went away when I got off the brakes and never came
back at a slower speed.
I've been running the Ravens primarily in the mountains
and canyons with no problems. I got around 9500 miles on
my last set if I remember correctly.
Memory is good, just short.
I ride my 6r around the canyons and up the mountain roads and have a blast. I usually can keep up with my son on his R1 while in the mountains, but he will run away on the straights. When I go on a long trip I take the FJR. It's nice for those 600 mile days, The 6R feels like a sports car by...
My 09 came with Roadsmarts. I went through them in 4200
miles, doing some slab but mostly twisties and canyons. I
put the Bridgestone BT023's on and have 8000 miles on them
so far and anticipate that another 1500 miles are still on them.
They handle much better than the Roadsmarts.
I've told my son that rides an R-1, that it takes little skill to twist the wrist and go in a
straight line. Taking the twisties, staying out of trouble and anticipating the problems, is
where the skill and judgement is.
He is surprised that our 6r can stay with him in the mountains and...
I have to agree with Jay, when I visit family in Bend, I
really enjoy the craft/micro brewries in central Oregon.
If I just had enough lifetime left to try them all....
