    Used 09 FZ6R, right price?

Shoot, I'd sell MY FZ6R for $5K! Mostly de-modded now, with 5300mi, and no drops!

Same blue as the first year of the Honda Fury??

    Bridgestone BT016?

Thanks for all the great feedback, guys. With my type of riding, it really does seem like I ought to look at either the Pilot Road 2s or 3s, the BT023s, or the Q2. I'll see what the price the dealer can get me, and then we'll go from there. Right now, with price not being an object, I'm...

    Bridgestone BT016?

Thanks Jon. Hmm. Sounds like then the BT023 is the best of both worlds then, yea? I'll see if my dealer can get me the 023s for $210/set as well! Of course, the next question would be then... Michelin Pilot Powers, 2CTs, or Pilot Road 2/3s?

    Bridgestone BT016?

Thanks for the useful input. I'm a bit concerned about tire wear. Other riders here seem to average around 8000mi per set of tires. I'm at 4900mi right now and it's already starting looking like I need new rubber within 500-1000 mi at most! I'm a lot lighter than most riders, nor do I drag...

    Bridgestone BT016?

Kinda surprised no one's running the Bridgestone BT016 tires... anybody? My dealer's selling for $210/set (+ tax) then either another $60 (+tax) for mounting/balancing if I bring the wheels in myself, or $110 (+tax) if I just ride the bike down there and hang out for a bit while they...

    FZ6R Sightings

Saw a yellow one when I was on vacation in Virginia Beach a couple of weeks ago... just rolled on past; my friends thought someone had stole my bike... I think that's only the 3rd time in the past year I've seen another FZ6R on the road!

    for the gun folk

Great thread guys. I forgot who it was who said this, but it always stuck in my mind... "An armed society is a polite society."

    Popping

Is it really that bad? After my TBR exhaust, I did also find that there was a lot of popping. Didn't bother me that much. Added the JB, and found most of the popping went away. The only pops it'll do now is if I abruptly chop the throttle from anywhere north of 4K. If just rolling off, no issue...

    Need new Helmet Suggestions!

Devil's advocate--you could always just get a skin for your brain bucket for a lot less than buying another lid... :) FWIW, I just picked up an EXO-400 for $49 from Newenough... ;)

    Juice Box and Exhaust

I wasn't able to notice much change in power. I *think* it was a psychological difference only, since I too did the TBR exhaust and the JB at the same time. Not sure where Diluted stuck the JB, but I put mine under the seat.

what's your cutoff point temp wise ?

Pretty much as Uno... 30F min; 95F max... Hoping heated gloves will buy me at least me 10 precious degrees... :) I haven't found a need for a heated jacket/jacket liner yet though, at 30F... just layering up seems to work decently enough.

    Lowering just front?

Yup. Lowered my FZ6R 12mm. Thought it was great at first, and although I haven't had tank-slapper moments as Creggeur had, it tips into turns just a bit too quickly. I'd raise it back up if it weren't such a PITA to do so. Wondering if maybe a 170mm RR tire might cancel out the difference a bit...

This is what happens when you steal

I dunno. I think people should lose their lives for lots of crimes: grand theft auto, burglary, rape, etc--normal people don't do that. Society has no need for such criminals. Why clog up "correctional facilities" and waste taxpayer money? Fry 'em. It'd make people think twice about crimes.

    Radar Detectors, which ones?

V1, all the way. A bit more expensive, to be sure, but then again, the price has been $399 for at least the past 7-8 years. Apart from having the directional antennas (which I thought was a gimmick until I gradually understood more about it), the best part is that it's upgradable and easily...

    random, miscellaneous tips

Yes, reverse threaded lugs on one side of the car was common before it was discovered that taper nuts do a more-than-adequate job in keeping the lugs on the hub. Hella confusing though, going from a more current car, to something a bit more vintage! To the OP: doesn't an impact gun work?

My new toy! Bought a boat!

$575! Great find! How much does it all weigh then, speaking of weight--for the boat, trailer, and ancillaries??

    GTO Bowling on Mulholland Highway

That turn there at the snake is particularly tricky, regardless if you're in a car or on a bike. After having a close call there myself about 10 years ago, I always took those last 3 turns rather easy...
