Like others,,, I keep the tank full of stabilized gas,change oil in the fall and keep a battery tender on. Usually get out at the very least, twice a month during the winter.

Cold- rainy- foggy- such is life in the coast range of Oregon. Last week we were flooding and I decided to be a good neighbor and ferry the new neighbor though the 35 inches of water to his house with my old F250. $300 in parts later she as good as new. Oh well,it needed new front wheel bearings...

A bar of soap or some wax works wonders on a new zipper for lube. Try it, you'll like it. Zippers are like a fine lady,you have to stroke them gently.

At 60 I wouldn't say I am on the downward slope,but maybe at a plateau. I did come to the FZ6R from an 1100cc 120hp bike. Only because I wanted a newer bike and this one really appealed to me. I do miss the hp, but I am probably better off without as far as staying out of trouble.(with my wife)

The Bridgestone 021 was a dual compound tire with harder rubber center and softer rubber on the sides of the tread. It was supposed to corner good while giving the rider a longer lasting touring tire. Low air or lots of twisty road will show this wear pattern. They were a lower end Bridgestone...

Thanks, they say regular jeans will go about 6 feet on pavement before they are worn through to skin. After that ,it's going to hurt!

In the blue ,it looks like the same decal scheme as the R1, just as it was in 2009. I guess they figure if you are a Yamaha race fan and don't want an R1 you will buy a 6R?

I doesn't work for me. I bought the 09 Blue and I still like the looks of it ,decals and all. This one looks 80ish. Just my thoughts. No offense to anyone that likes it.
