shame on me for not updating this - i went with the revit blaze and ended up taking it on a trip from MD to NJ. it worked like a champ! 100% wind proof - my face was completely warm the entire time (the rest of me not necessarily, haha :D)
where i live is relatively rural, so to me scooters are a traffic hazard. they simply can't keep up with the speed of traffic. in a city they're perfectly fine, since you're never going to be moving that fast. so no, i don't wave to scooters.
i also don't wave to trikes on account of them...
Any particular suggestions? Found an '03 ZX6RR (race prepped) for $2500!
i could have the dude ship it to me for like $1k and i'd still come out like a bandit!:eek:
hey guys, so a coworker of mine is about to retire and has a couple of bikes he no longer rides.
one of them is a honda cbr600 F4i. i was thinking about picking this up as a track only bike (note: i have not done any track days yet). this would leave the FZ6R to be purely a street bike...
I thought about letting my roommate take my bike out... his bike is in desperate need of new tires but he wanted to go for a ride. But our bikes are 2 very different machines (FZ6R for me, ninja500 for him).
and damnit jspansel, your sig always screws with me every time :D
i pay 100/mo each for my car and bike (both statefarm). definitely gonna switch next time i need to renew my car insurance.
plus i will be 25 and get discounts!
7700 for a tuonoR? apriliausa.com lists MSRP as like $13k. that's one hell of a deal if you can get that!!
as far as insurance, it might not be considered a "sportbike." statefarm puts the 6R in the same category as the R6, so i pay through the roof for insurance :(
Sometimes I feel like the only reason I have a car is for when I can't ride the bike :D
I took the 6R to my soccer game tonight, and one of my teammates said "Do you ever drive your car?"
Lately, not unless I absolutely have to ;)
this is the video that made me want to do track days: http://www.uponone.com/videos.php?id=70
ok apparently my upload to youtube got removed. beats me why. it's an old video (poor quality) from uponone.com, but that's what gave me the bug :P
rode home today from NJ to MD. about 200 miles. it was COLD in the morning when i started out. 40deg air temp, feels like 20-25 at interstate speeds. by the afternoon it was plenty warm though.
i am seriously tired though. i have no desire to do anything the rest of today.
was it just the patch that caused him to lose traction, or a culmination of other things?
i'm guessing with that tight a turn he should be starting to extend himself off the bike, as opposed to just leaning his body?
