    highway riding is horrible!

My last 2 bikes were a FZ1 and a Katana 750.. neither of which I had to "fight" with on the interstate. I have been riding bikes for 30 years and I am pretty sure I know the difference between how a bike and car rides on a highway. I was hoping that this forum wasn't going to be a place where...

    highway riding is horrible!

Actually I think I know what he is talking about. I have this problem with speeds over 70mph especially when I am around any tractor trailers. You really feel like you are fighting "wind" and it isn't fun.

How much did you pay for your FZ6R?

You could buy one off ebay and have it shipped to you. You can get them for around $5k, $300 shipping, but then you will have to pay your taxes and tags in Calif. There is one listed in Goleta, CA for 4999, but not sure how close you are to that...

    Gravel roads

I am not sure. I told him what bike I had, what I was looking for, and he made them for me. When you put them on, I recommend a bottle of windex and ample time. I cleaned the rims, then squirted the rims with windex AND the sticky side of the stripes with windex. This allowed me to lay them...

    question on tank bags

actually, for me it feels perfect for me... hold me at a good height to see without really tilting my neck hard and allows me to relax my grip which in turn rests both my wrists and arms... I didn't get it for that, but "accidentally" found it was a good fit just leaning down to stretch one...

    top speeds?

not crazy enough to try it... if I wanted speeds that high I wouldn't have chosen this bike. Guess I am getting old, but I prefer to enjoy my ride and not worry who is going to pay for my funeral...

    question on tank bags

I use a tank bag and mine is magnetic. I paid less then $40 and it is huge. I can carry my lunch plus a hat and drinks in mine. I also lay on mine sometimes driving to work. I drive an hour one way so it is nice to tuck down and rest the arms and wrists for a bit on a long stretch...
