Let me work out some details on the fitment..I am a Factory Pro Center and test stuff for Factory Pro they make the stacks one size for easy fitment for the 600/1000...on the ones that would not benefit from the large bore of the stack or have a special mounting they use injected molded...
should have stated 87 vs 93 octane 10% ethanol blended fuel..the non ethanol fuel reg unleaded makes more power...Here in the meto Atlanta area we have a 10% min ethanol requirement
Not going there!!!.....Marthy's butt is his deal......
Been to fricking hot here to play on dyno going to be 106 here today.....
But I did test the regular VS premium unleaded fuel
test condtion:
Factory Pro EC997 high speed dyno with 12 in low mass drum
stock air box v-stacks and stock...
updated org post with numbers...today made headway on PCV issue...back to acting normal so I can feel good about a solid baseline. Road testing is backing up dyno readings. Will do the reg unleaded vs super test and have a plan for some V-stack testing tomarrow as long as shop is stable.
As a shop owner I will say DO not talk about price....Vendors have to sign a MAP policy with some suppliers..and can and do loose the right to sell the products...Two Brothers takes this very serious....
AND the cams are turning only 7000 rpm think of the rods and crank are turning twice that speed...... well rods do not turn but go side to side up and down...but still I have been around this stuff on the dyno for years and people wonder why I get nervous....I see this in my head with me...
If you break down the 4 stroke events by milliseconds...it is mind blowing how it even works....then think of a F1 engine at 20k using hydraulics.....simply a thing of raging anger..... so the next time you free rev it off the rev limter....think about what happens......
black vinyl spray paint for the engine cover....I have fixed a few swingarms with it and you really have to look for the repair I did a R1 last week before the insurace guy looked at it....swing arm and upper frame had rash on it paint covered it up and bike was not totaled bike getting fixed...
a little greese on the round gaskets to hold them in place saves a ton of gggrrr when you look down and see one of the rolley polley pricks in the middle of the driveway after you are done......
well milling the head is a way but the block is where it is at you get the whole bore vs just the chamber. on the early r6s I moved the piston out of the block a few thou....It all is about the cc's....now I think I have a set of pistons somewhere....hmmmm this could get overboard real easy...
1: got it most bikes do not need it on or just a touch extra for feel
2 M4 pipe check... got it
3 on the list first
4 I have a plan....
5 will have more than that without pistons
6 have a Web Camshaft account... cheaper to use fz6/r6 but is a option
7 flow bench here...
8 maybe
9 Hate...
Ok here is your chance post up what you would like to know. I have a Factory Pro Dyno and have owned a 2009 fz6r and will be getting a 2011 fz6r tomarrow. After some basic check outs and break in on the dyno with an oil change. I plan on seeing if the 2011 is the same worse or better. I have a...
I bet you have a bent triple clamp(upper/lower fork holder)...if the fork was bent the triple clamp gets tweaked. There is a host of things to check. Ft axle slip in forks/ft axle bent. The cracked bearing race is a HUGE worry if the head tube is not round from the impact to crack the race...I...
