Calabogie has some nice windy roads. I know it's a little further but Tremblant has some amazing twisties that you would enjoy. I don't know if you are a member yet but join the ottawa motorcycle forum. Lot's of organized group rides throughout the week and weekends to the above destinations...

Before I sold my FZ6R I had a Comp Werkes FE on it. It too got bent when I hit a pot hole. Bottom line - I think it comes down to your suspension settings. If they are set too soft, you will bend just about any FE on the market, unless you bend your license plate on aslightly upwards angle.

Any fellow Ontario'ans interested in a set of Blue Pazzo levers or blue seat cowel? These were bought new during the winter, however I just sold my bike, and now these gotta go. See pics and more info in the for sale section.

Hopefully picking up the bike this weekend, depending on weather and work. Will also post pics as soon as I get a chance, and perhaps a quick write up after I get some saddle time.

Just traded in my 2009 FZ6R with 5000kms and got $5250 for it at the dealer. The canadian blue book value is about $4800 for a 2009 in excellent condition. If the market in southern Ontario is anything like it is around Ottawa I think you will be hard pressed to get $6500 for it. Best of luck...

If you are living in Canada, take a look at the Kawasaki Ninja 400r. It has a little more pep than a 250, it's light, and seat height is relatively low.

I too, would recommend a mesh jacket if you will only be riding your bike in the summer. Just make sure you get one that has a removeable liner that you can use if you decide to ride when it gets a bit cooler. If you want to stay with the Joe Rocket line, I have the Joe Rocket Phoenix 5.0...

There are also some useful videos that demonstrate this on u-tube. It is on different bikes but the principle is the same. Just do a search.

I usually average between 250-315km per tank. 250km's/tank when I'm throttle happy 315km's/tank when taking it easy on the highway Again, it all depends on your driving style
