Well, 2 months later and my shoulder is finally useable again (another set of xrays showed a fracture in my left shoulder blade along with the collar bone..). Bike was totalled after all, and I had no GAP insurance (my fault) so I still have a little to pay off on the bike. Good news is though...
Ya be careful out there. I think "Twist of the Wrist 2" says to only ride a 70% your capacity, which allows a clearer head in case something happens and more room to correct. I thought I was doing that but the turn got tighter and the road narrowed. Couldn't compensate.
Correct me if I'm wrong but it just seems like off-brand stuff, which could explain the price. I'd compare the leather thickness with the higher priced items and try to find reviews from other sites on that gear. Might be cheap but if it's not quality gear it won't do you any good.
Thanks everyone. Ya I was really worried about my girl, the bike landed on her but thanks to adrenaline was able to get the bike off her before I realized something didn't feel right in the shoulder lol.. They flew her out as a precaution but she came out just sore with road rash on her hands...
congrats man, just wait till you hit the pegs. Going to put a big smile on your face :). Just ease into it though and don't get ahead of yourself... Hopefully I'll be healed up and have my bike repaired soon, been 24 hours since my crash and I miss it like crazy...
not fast actually, prob 35 - 40mph MAX. Had my girl on the back though (thank god she's only got a little road rash on her hands and is a little sore...)
Yup, my poor 6R is totalled I think... took a mini roadtrip yesterday and got into a hairpin curve too fast. Instinctively I hit the brakes once I hit the dirt on the shoulder and made friends with the mountain side. Only time I didn't wear my jacket (save the lectures please, I realize how...
How the... I just started riding a month ago, got my license, took MSF, and for full coverage under progressive I'm paying 118 a month... 22yrs old, clean record NO TICKETS. new 2011 fz6r.
This is true, but someone in another post mentioned that immortal graphics site which has some nice graphics that would look good on the black fairings, along with the orange plastic accents, and caliper paint would look good overall I think. All up to the rider :)
I have an HJC helmet, It's a few years old but I haven't worn it very much. I got an Icon helmet with my bike though and ever since I've been wearing the Icon the HJC is not NEARLY as comfortable, although wind noise is about the same I think (I got one of the cheaper Icon helmets, the Ride...
The only ones I've come across are the Trojan Universal mirrors with integrated turn signals like these: TROJAN UNIVERSAL BAR MOUNT MIRROR W LED SIGNALS | eBay
Not sure exactly what kind of work will need to be done to get them mounted to the frame, but the hot bodies flush mounts don't do any...
