The perch I bought I think was off the north american FZ8. 100% identical to the one on the XJ6, so not sure why...
Yup, it's the clutch lever perch, but with a threaded mirror post on it as well. If you're using bar end mirrors, no need for it!

Nope, the headlight and side fairings are completely separate. Go nuts ;)
Edit: Actually... can you clarify. Are you planing to keep the entire FZ6R front cowling (windscreen and everything around the headlight)? If so, that won't work.

When the wind is blowing you around you need to stay loose on the controls. "Holding on for dear life" is only making things worse.
You control the bike by counter-steering with your arms. If the wind is blowing you around, your arms are moving around. The stiffer you are, the more of that...
