I won't port them into the cabin, I'm trying to keep the front and rear waves as separated as possible for a true IB setup.been a long time since I played wth anything like this...
are you going to port them into the cabin aswell? I always found that added to the punch and produced crisper bass?
good fun!
I had on my 97 saab, 2 15'', 4 thrumpets and 2 super tweeters, running on 2 amps. That thing was loud as hell, It would kill my battery in about 5 minutes if playing with the car off.I won't port them into the cabin, I'm trying to keep the front and rear waves as separated as possible for a true IB setup.
I don't think I would have liked to sit in that car Lol. Most of my audio is for me, not for the outside. My car is decently well deadened and I don't care who hears my music, just want to hear it nice and clean in side. Two 15's sound amazing with classical and orchestral music.I had on my 97 saab, 2 15'', 4 thrumpets and 2 super tweeters, running on 2 amps. Miss those extremely loud and annoying everybody music days.

Me too.2 15's just for you in the cabin??? I call BS lol
I bealive you. Just playing aroundDaniel you should come have a listen.
If I wanted them to be loud outside I would have faced them out and put a ported box in there.
You get a lot of cabin gain facing them the way yours are. Facing the "boom booms" in takes away some of the boominess you get from the back waves coming off the trunk/trunk lid. You get more detail, and more output with less power as well since the subs are right in the cabin or facing towards you. Before this my subs were mounted in the rear deck facing the rear windshield into the cabin and those were also VERY musical and sounded fantastic. This setup just tackles the lower notes in much better fashion than the smaller subs in the rear deck.So your boom booms are facing towards the cabin of the car instead of pointing towards the back of the car? Weird, I've never heard of anybody doing that before. Does it make a difference in sound? Cause I have mine pointing towards the back of the car.
