My standard warm up set on the Bench Press...

What do you think is the main cause for lack of proper diet?

Poor shopping habits. If you don't buy the junk you can't eat it. An exercise of will power goes a long way as well.

For me, I found that planning my meals for the week and fixing them all on Sunday made it so much easier to stick to my diet than making them each day. When I was eating 4000 calories a day, I could not fix the day's meal every day. So having a single day to prepare food and portion them out was a huge help. Then all I had to do was grab the containers before heading out the door to work.

Not trying to be a doushe, but now it just kind of seems like your bragging. I understand for learning purposes, but wouldnt you generally either keep it for your own purposes, or upload it to a weight lifting forum rather than a motorcycle forum?

1 plate is not bragging at all and it just shows you dont know much about lifting.

Also, when mentioning "plates" 1 plate= 1 set of 45 pounds on each side. So in op's video, that would be him lifting 1 plate, not 2.

So when you say you want to lift 8 plates, you should say you want to lift 4.

Anyway, this really helped me a lot with my bench when I was stalling hard. It's still a weak lift, I'm only at 200 lbs atm. I switched to dumbbell presses for a bit and just now switch back to barbell.

I watch some of the video. Very interesting. I would like to learn a bit more about it from your experience.

What exactly would you like to know?

I used this program and was able to add a net of 15 lbs body weight while also dropping my body fat by 3-4%. So I would say that I probably added closer to 18 lbs muscle while losing 3 lbs fat. I saw amazing gains in the main strength lifts. Adding that much muscle definitely made me look bigger, but the muscle definition was really nice as well. It's a great program, and I will likely go back to it in the next few weeks when I finish with the one I am currently on.

so.. are you the guy in red, or black? I would assume black, but when you assume, sometimes people end up pregnant.. So, I am just making sure.

I hope he's the guy in the black. The guy in the red is skipping too many leg days.

On that note, I'm off to do some Deadlifting lol. Cheers!

By the way, sorry have been MIA, was in fire school. I'm out now, and enjoying my 6r:)

Poor dietary discipline...

I work out all the time, get plenty of rest but still like to eat my pizza, Maybe some fast food, drink a drink, ect...

Also, I have a MILK addiction like a MOFO... How much you wonder? I drink at least a gallon of Skim a day...A DAY! And have done so since I was only 2 foot tall, which was long long ago..

I wasn't breast fed so am trying to make up LOL..

That is a TON of milk wow lol, you must have to piss every 30 minutes on the regular. Yeah I hear ya, I have a hard time braking my "not much time, i need something quick to eat" habits, but Im still down from 267# to 231, got another 40 to go before my wedding and vacation.

talking about diet.

I have been eating well for the past month or two and I am already pretty not looking forward to most of my meals lol

can you guys throw out things that you eat maybe im missing a few yummy things and can learn from you guys.

all I eat I steam cook or once in a while I use the George foramen grill
mainly
chicken
lean meat patties (wheat bread only of course)
salmon
Cod
tilapia
shrimp
and veggies on the side

You're probably not looking to eat 4000 calories, but I can send you several meal plans I made to give you an idea of the variety of quality foods you could be eating.

IMO tilapia is a terrible fish to consume. Its a bottom feeder fish and farm raised.....which in the sea-food world...thats a bad thing. To each their own but do some research on the fish and what it consumes.

I completely agree with this. Don't let the crap in the house in the place. This has been my main change for myself. I have stopped even letting bad foods into my house and all my snacks are now healthier and not loaded with sugar.

The other key factor is avoiding convenience... No fast food as that's just never good for the body. Granted when I was active duty it was the only way to get enough calories to offset the crazy events of the day.

Make it a point to get nutritious items into your fridge that you actually like. I've been trying to make sure that I get fresh ingredients for all my cooking and avoiding premixed stuff.

Do enough and it really makes you feel better everyday that you stick to it. Pizza is just horrible for me anymore since I've been eating better.

Add rice, sweet potatoes (love those roasted with some carrots, turnips, whatever u roast veggies with), plain Greek yogurt, almond or natural peanut butter, nuts, seeds, and don't forget you need SOME sort of fats...grapeseed olive oil or even butter in moderation is fine. It's really about calories per day and macro breakdown. Fuel your workouts, feed your muscles, keep your joints and your innards lubricated. If you know how many cals per day to aim for then it's only a matter of measuring out your proteins, fats, and carbs for the day. Knowing how many carbs and fats you can actually have goes a long way. You don't need to make flavourless food....just choose your Marcos wisely and you won't be missing out on anything.

For example, Red meat or chicken with skin on usually counts as fat and protein. So what I would do is make a chilli type dish on a serving (2/3 cup) rice, and voila. Proteins, fats, carbs, veggies, flavour. Experiment with seasonings and spices. It's a great time of year for fresh food too. Get creative!

WTH? seriously??? a Gallon??? That's just ridiculous. I mean I understand that you are a massive dude and all but yeah, that's nuts. Granted I can't drink much milk, any more than just the occasional bowl of ice-cream I end up with a case of the schlitz. I have maybe a glass a day but it doesn't agree with me too well after a week.

I try really hard to stay away from fast food places but sometimes it's just not avoidable.

And LOL at the 2 foot tall was a long time ago, pretty funny stuff.

Did not know about the tilapia will do remove it from my list. 99 please do send me your list.

I eat tons of Greek yogurt peanut butter and limited portions of rice and just add veggies like crazy. I guess I'm eating the right good just need better preparation ideas.

Anthony I love my milk and cookies but one gallon damn!!!

I'll get my menu to you tomorrow. Next time you are at the store, take a trip down the spices and seasonings isle and go nuts. Dry spices have no nutritional value but make a world of difference when you are eating the same foods often. Same goes with hot sauce. For a while I was eating a chicken breast and a sweet potato 3 times a day, but they were each prepared slightly different so it didn't taste the same each meal. There are so many spices out there that you should have no trouble getting creative to keep the food boredom away.
