FZ6R = Gone........ Traded Her In for a ???

Well, I will never forget my FZ6R, she always rode well and never let me down. I would always recommend it to anyone. And while the grass isn't always greener, it was time for me to trade her in and get something a little different.

Last year I test drove a bike that was just unbelievable to me in the way it felt & my wife LOVED the bike, I mean LOVED it. It took a lot of hard thoughts on what I really wanted but after weighing all the options and then test driving one several more times I figured that this season I would get something different.

The best time to buy a bike is in the DEAD of winter IMO...


So.....What did I get? (drum roll)


I got a pre-owned Gen 2, 2008 Hayabusa with VERY few miles, repeat, VERY FEW miles, Aftermarket Chrome wheels, Two Brothers Exhaust, Warranty and New Q2 tires. I tried to post a pic but can't figure it out so will add a youtube later of it. The bike is charcoal/black in color which identifies it as an 08(the only year that color option was available). Being a gen 2 it also has the selector switch. The previous 1 owner, was in his 40's, bought the bike new at my dealership and sold the bike at the same dealership trading it in on a vmax, a 20k bike. It doesn't have a scratch on it.(yet)

Being 6"8 or so, it fits me better and is great 2 up. Plus, it's a Busa, so nuff said!

I won't leave the forum and will never forget the FZ6R but found a situation that was just to good to pass up. Sometimes, timing is everything.

I traded in the FZ6R(had title) in on the Busa, So it basically cost me the FZ6R and a couple K Cash to trade for the busa.

Very nice. My wife has a soft spot for those. May be on my list of bikes I would like to own. Please please just don't go scraping fairings with it.

Told you guys I was tall lol. Imagine how I looked on the FZ6R!

I Just got back from putting about 150 miles on it. I don't even know what to say, it's like a dream ride. I know i'm tall & big but I rode around town, highway, ect for almost 4 hours today and am not sore at all except for my wrists a little bit. The clutch is hydraulic or something and feels so smooth that I had to keep checking the gear indicator on the dash to make sure I was in or out of gear at stop lights. I've sat on R1's, R6's, ect but I fit on this thing great! This bike too has an inline 4 and is very smooth. Except for the highway, I couldn't ride over 4500 rpms, I would run out of speed limit! at 50 MPH in 2nd gear the bike is at like 2000 rpms or something. I did crack the throttle on the highway and dear god, the speedometer goes up as fast as the rpm gauge!


Anyaways, I will always remember my FZ6R, although I also owned a KLR650, the FZ6R was really the bike I lost my virginity to. She was always down for me and would make out whenever I wanted BUT the busa, with her fat a$$ and tits always used to flirt with me, I tried to resist her temptation but finally gave in and after riding her my "O" face was in full effect. I thought I would just date her on the side through test drives but I couldn't stop thinking about her, She has some demands, But I wanted her to be mine so I agreed!

Thanks for sharing dude.Dreyer is usually pretty fair with the prices on machines.I paid $59 for the 6r there, around $6400 otd new.

I'm still down for meeting up this spring if you want to go for a ride sometime.Feel free to pm me.

Oh, and the 'busa? Eh, it's ok. I am not a fan of them, really, at all. Sorry.

I thought about getting one myself but yeah... I like my comfort on the ninja 1k. I was also looking at the zx14 but I need to hold off on that one for a bit.

Refer to post #11, I can't fit on a ninja lol.. I think the only reason why I could fit on the FZ6R was because of the upright seating position. When I sat on the Ninja's , even the x1000 or whatever it's called, my heels would sit right on the exhaust. Beyond that the ninja x1000 was my runner up before buying the Busa. But as usual, my wife couldn't see past me on the ninja and didn't like the feel which was a big factor in me buying the Busa, she can see right over my shoulder with no problem. My wife, the trooper that she is would ride with me on the FZ6R but didn't really enjoy it because she couldn't see over my elephant body. Now, she is all about going for a ride.
