Jeans vs Kevlar Jeans - Garden Snake tests them

I subscribe to a lot of motorcycle stuff on youtube. TheGardenSnake recently tested regular jeans vs kevlar jeans. For anyone who still wears standard jeans, you might want to watch this.

I actually find riding pants more comfortable (especially for my family jewels) compared to jeans. Still, I've thought about some kevlar jeans that accept knee pads.

Thanks, they say regular jeans will go about 6 feet on pavement before they are worn through to skin. After that ,it's going to hurt!

I used to feel the same way (about the jewels).

However, I had need to buy a quick pair of Kevlar jeans, and strangely enough, the Cyclegear Bilt "Iron Workers" are not only comfortable, and the Kevlar seems well placed, but, they actually fit well...

When not going to work, I wear my Draggin Jeans under my Firstgear overpants.. Figure better protection and still look ok when take off the overpants.

A cycle gear just opened up about 45 minutes from me in Laurel, Maryland. I went to the grand opening and got some full gauntlet leather gloves marked down from $99 to $50 to $35. Also had the piece I broke for my GoPro

They have more stuff than the 3 other closest shops to me COMBINED and they are the smallest cycle gear they said. I'm definitely going to look for those pants!
