stacks without a exhaust will still help it simply smooth the inflow into the engine and allows more air in faster

after opeing the air box I noticed that the inlet did have a smoth radious going in.. not sure that paying so much for the stacks is worth it? if anyone does it please do write a review
 
The stocks stacks are poorly formed and restrictive the new stacks would be larger made of smooth aluminum and would have a much better entrance point for air flow

100 bucks for 1/3 the power gain of your tbr pipe you would be a fool not to haha

Yes
Any modification of flow to your exhaust or intake system will increase your bikes power by decreasing the drag on your pistons in the Intake or exhaust stroke reducing the drag coming directly into the ports of your cylinders is huge and helps a lot on the r 6 they get 2-3 horsepower out of just stacks I believe and the lady I talked to said it would give us about 2-3 horsepower gain also

I know removing excess plastic stuff can increase flow, but would cutting down or removing the stock stacks do anything? I feel like they might hurt performance, but input from someone smarter than me might be nice.
 
Intake resonance tuning... It's all there is in swapping velocity stack. Longer for low end power and shorter for top end. That why the tricky guys use variable intake runner length. Same principle for exhaust tuning.

Easy check... compare the length of a R1 vs. a FZ1 or a FZ8 primary exhaust pipe... They're pretty much all the same engine... or close enough.

Si if you really want to mess with it buy a airbox. Then use all short trumpet!

I would not recommend cutting or removing them the stacks we would be buying would basically be tuned to our engine and giving it the best power growth

right now we have 12
They told me about a 2-3hp gain
that’s 3-5% more hp for 150 bucks
the TBR pipe is $800-$1000 and its loud and only gives you 3.8hp for up to $1300
then you need a fuel ctrl also which is 200-300$
This mod gives you 50-75% the power of the TBR for less than 15% the cost!!!

With 12 people who is looking like about 300 bucks but let's not talk about that I really don't wanna groupbuy unless we can get it around $100-$200

The cost is because they will loose money if they only sell one vs the cost of production. If you make a nicr kit that makes 2-3 hp ill be interested

If all it is... is increasing that radious on the stack to a longer smother curve I can do that. Im already looking into cost for production of my deign... there are various companys here in town that can make it... I will probably open up my airbox agian today to take dims... well see if this takes off.
