Anyone familiar with Puig's frame sliders?

As I get closer to haggling two competing dealerships into a good price on an '09 6R, I find myself looking at accessories to bundle in on the purchase. Frame sliders are chief among them (along with a disc lock to dissuade at least the amateur theives). I was curious if anyone is familiar with the Puig Pro Crash Pads. A search here has turned up nothing and Google has turned just PR feeds. I like the look of them, and the shape seems like it'd help keep the fairings further from the evil ground (God forbid!)— but the shape also looks like it might have enough leverage on impact to bend or break the things.

I was thinking about getting these myself since they have a nicer shape to them than the typical frame slider. has anyone tried them yet?

I have the Puig Pro Frame Sliders on the way and should be here Monday. I'll post photos when I get them, but here's a few from the net.

It looks like the slider will be just aft of the fairings. it's not going to do much for fairing protection, but hopefully they will be good looking and functional (and never needed!).

Well they are called frame sliders...not fairing sliders. They are meant to protect the frame of the bike, not so much the fairings.

what did you end up thinking of those? did they protect the fairings too? I'm debating them as well.

Still have and love them. Have not tested them though, so no comment on protection.
