Hey guys,

I recently purchased a set of 41mm / 1.5" rise Woodcraft Clip-Ons for my 2011 FZ6R in order to slightly lower riding position and give it a getter look.

So according to my local dealer mechanic, To install the Woodcraft clipons i purchased isn't as easy as i thought and apparently holes need to be drilled to fit everything. Can anyone confirm this is true?

I'm expecting my delivery on Monday and at $120/hr for a supposed 2 hours worth of work i'm starting to rethink this whole thing. $240 for labor + $230 for the Clip-Ons seems excessive if this is the fact.

I was under the impression i just remove old bars, line up and clamp/bolt on the Woodcraft Clip-Ons then away i went.

Side question to anyone whom is experienced in the area; I had my forks lowered by 1.5" but someone saw my bike and said it doesnt look like theyve been lowered by 1.5" and are uneven. How can i measure my forks and where should they be measured from to confirm the 1.5" drop?

Cheers

Take a look at the pictures in one of the posts in this thread: http://www.600cc.org/forum/f89/lowering-front-end-more-aggresive-look-26222/

You can measure the drop from the top of the exposed fork tube to the triple tree clamp. On a stock bike the triple tree clamp is flush with the top of the fork tube. Hope that helps.

So i'm measuring the top of the tube to where my tape measure first touches the triple tree cover/plastic?

Any pictures would be awesome!

Yeah, I just went out and measured.. I got something like 11mm from triple tree cover to top of fork tube.

Easy to measure the holes? Just get a market then drill?
