Power Commander on a Stock Bike?

So my performance mods consist of getting a K&N, Power Commander and a exhaust in the future..

If I was to buy the power commander first would that do anything at all for me? I was on google searching for a PC on a stock bike and got alot of:
It did nothing at all
It did nothing, and made my gas millage worse
It might of done somthing
It smoothed out the throttle but didnt give me any more power
I feel more of a kick but it could just be metal

That being said is it a waste to get the PC first?

Power Commander won't really do anything for ya until you open the the airbox, like with the K&N. Usually if you don't change your intake then replacing exhaust you normally don't need a Power Commander either.

If it responds like the FZ6 a proper tune with the PC should...

1) Smooth out your throttle
2) very slightly increase your mileage .5 to 2 mpg
3) increase midrange power
4) smaller increase on the topend

This is assuming the fuel map is similar to the FZ6.
