Handlebar Muffs

Ran a search for this and only came up with Dart's post about the Oxfords.

I saw this review on some nice Italian ones:

They seem pretty nice but all I've found so far is they cost as much to ship as they cost to buy.

Just wondering if anyone here has used handlebar muffs or is considering it and what their opinions are on the subject. Safety issues and anything else you can think of.

I'm thinking bar muffs in conjunction with heated grips would allow one to wear their summer gloves year round.

What do y'all think?

I've heard only great things about this type of item. People love them and say that their hands get too hot with heated grips while using these. Never used them but I think these plus heated grips will keep you nice and toasty.

I have found heated grips too cold still so i bough Acerbis Duel Road Hand Guards, they work a treat in combination. I usually found handlebar muffs get in the way a little

I don't own any yet but handle bar muffs on my mates bike combined with heated grips was like riding with my hands in a toasty oven. Didn't need the heated grips on.

Bar end fitted ones hold there shape better but my mate just had plain oxford strap on ones.

it's weird initially getting used to not seeing the controls and doing it all on muscle memory, but they were so good at warmth I'm definitely looking at getting some myself in the next month or so.

Make sure they have some sort of support so that at speed they are not pulling on the clutch and brake lever.

a strap on muff XD what has the world come too...

ok back on topic... these... "muffs" look ridicules id have to mock you just because they would make you look like a clown... despite they may function well.

I knew opinions would vary.

Whether they look ridicules or not, when it comes to being being completely comfortabe when riding in temps in the 30's or looking "cool" and freezing...I'll take the mocking while you complain about the pain in your frost bitten hands. :D

ill find another solution mate, something about handle bar muffs... just doesnt float with me.. id rather the heated gloves IMO what ever floats your boat.

These look BA and can be put on other bars. They are oem for this ducati. A guy on the fz1oa put them on his bars with heated grips. Cover the hands and provide sweet looking bar ends.
