What's interesting about that link are all the counter-replies showing the size of the contact patches from the tire manufacturers at extreme lean angles vs. a more upright BP.
A higher BP will certainly let you get off the corner faster, and flick from side to side faster, and is probably less upsetting to the bike's suspension and geometry when doing so vs. the benefit of greater contact patch at extreme lean angles.
