Best way to tie down?

Hey guys,

I just got my fz6r on Saturday and had to go back to work (away from home) with out it :(. Anyhow I will be bringing it up in a few weeks and was wondering the best way to tie these bikes down in the back of a truck.

I searched and didn't find much

For my dirtbike I just use ratchet straps on the handle bars to either the stake pockets or to lower bedside tiedowns.

It looks like if I try this with this bike the straps would be against the fairings and front plastic.

How have you guys transported these bikes? Thanks

I hauled mine in a small utility trailer. I wrapped rags around the handle bars and hooked the tie downs on and then went out to the edge of the trailer with the other ends. It did put a little pressure on the fairing, but I pushed the front end down a quite a bit and that gave it some relief. Also I tied the front and rear wheels straight back and straight forward. I checked the tie downs twice on a thirty mile haul over rough paved road.
