anti virbration bar ends

Hey anyone installed anti vibration bar ends on their fz6r ?

Has it made a difference ?

What product did you buy?

Have you tried switching your grips? I switched from the stock to Progrip 719's and the vibrations are all but gone since.

thanks, I just bought them from motorcycle superstore.

I noticed on your profile picture, you have lights on the front of the motorcycle. I don't have those on mine, do you have to put them yourself ?

How did you install them ?

Yeah, I added them myself.

I will be re-doing the way I wired these shortly. Here is a small diagram I made in Photoshop as to help me not get confused...

The blue dots are bullet connectors similar to these...Heat Shrink Insulated Bullet Terminals. The reason for those is to remove the need to pull the LED's back through the scoops in order to get the fairings completely off. This will allow me to quickly disconnect the LED's, Blinkers, or Both.

The stock bar ends are anti-vibration. There are different types but the stocks are a heavy weight application. This works best with steel bars like stock. When I installed a thicker gauge aluminum bar, I rode the bike around without any bar ends to notice the feel/vibration as they required a different diameter end. The aluminum bar didn't require additional weight for dampening which gave me more choices for bar ends. (I also rode the stock bar with an aftermarket aluminum end which I later returned, as the stock end made a noticeable difference. Those things are heavy!)
