Hey, I'm going to be attempting to replace my fork seals soon and I was wondering what sizes fork seal driver Is technically needed to get the new ones in place. Gonna be attempting to 3d print my own driver.

Also any tips and tricks on how to replace them would be appreciated, as this is my first time ever trying to replace fork seals.

Also is 1 liter of fork oil enough to replace all the oil?

Also, I'm about 120lb. I got w2.5 fork oil, is that gonna cause me problems? I only now realized the stock is w5 apparently. So how will that effect the ride?

How did the ride feel at 5w? I switched to 10w and it was a tighter feel on the suspension...I'm 200 lbs so the tighter feel was better for me. Next time I'm going with 15w.

Honestly not sure, new rider so can't say plus the seals were already leaking when I got the bike so it wasn't compressing properly to begin with

Stock weight is very light and even if you're a 120lbs 2.5w is probably too light. I would either go with stock 5w or upgrade to 10w.

What does it effect. Like I don't understand how it will effect how the bike rides,is it possibly more dangerous? Am I gonna low side around a corner if I'm leaning to hard? I'm just debating whether I should try to find some around where I live or just got with what I ordered online. Cause I can't wait any longer for some oil to come I. The mail but if it is detrimental that I go for something heavier then I will. Just rather not spend more money. And also I got motul which is hard to find around here and I don't really like going for anything but the best in terms of quality.

You will need a 41 MM fork seal driver, I just did a fork rebuild and posted it in the how to section. Also switched to the 10W oil.

10W works well with these bikes, the heavier the oil, the greater the restriction as is passes through the oil ways. Lighter fork oil passes through the oil ways more quickly leading to the front shocks compressing faster and more quickly.
10W and a good rear shock gives a nice tight ride, with no mid corner bounce.
Don't forget to replace the bushes when you do the seals.
