I think i'll end up doing the same. Sorry to hear about your finger.
Lowering the bike only a couple of inches doesn't make a HUGE increase...in...well anything really. I've debated on finding a wrecked bike that has 41mm clip ons and snagging them myself. IMO, the look for the clip-ons...
Very true, but this is what I owe on the bike. Otherwise, I'll be forced to keep it and smile while riding. I'm willing to take offers, but haven't received any yet. Either way, I'd have to make up the difference if i do sell for less than $6k. That all depends on the bank account at the...
No Problem, but that is how much I owe on the bike otherwise I'd go lower
The tire was $160 installed
First Service Already Completed
Fender Eliminator - $80
Rear Cowl - $200
Grips - $45
And all the rest of the items round up to much more...
Either way, I believe it's a fair price for...
Hello,
I'm selling my 1 year old Yamaha FZ6R. It's a 2009 bought in Sept. 2010. Only selling to upgrade to a YZF-R6. This bike has NEVER seen the ground or been run hard. It has 3800 miles and several mods - listed below. Asking $6000 FIRM - it's what i owe on the bike...so I will not...
I haven't heard of any for our bikes, but our bike does have a "generally" lower than most seat height in the Sport Bike sector.
Have you set your seat height to it's max? That will help some, but there is a terrible gap between the seat and the rest of the bike.

I think this is going to be your best bet, unless you can find some used ones from the yellow bike and throw them on. Of course that will require removal and some cost.
Paint...even if it's a $0.97 job...after sanding you can always remove if you just don't like it or it doesn't stay.
True...i guess i'm afraid to paint and it not last very long. This is probably the same reason that others haven't painted their forks yet with a cheap paint job. The Economy is really not being that nice to us all right now. LOL
I never noticed that the forks on the other models weren't black already. I have the Yellow bike and mine is all black. I was like..>WTF? Paint it black...it's already black.
It's DEFINITELY possible, but just make sure you do it right and take your time, use really good paint, ect.
No problem. I also think it has a lot to do with cops in your area. Cops here in NC really don't care about mods, unless you go to modding things like lights (tinting headlights, tailights, turn sigs, tag lights, ect). I think because they feel the need to see the tag so much that it's become...
That's what I like to hear.
Trojan Style Mirrors = $0 (brother-in-law's credit card)
Smoked Windscreen = $0.97
Threading hex-head screws = PITA
Modding your bike = priceless
