You should be fine without a chain guard. I rode without it with no problems and all you have to deal with is fling from your chain.

You should be able to pop the front with 6000 rpms. I got mine to the balance point at 9000. I'm practicing too but just make sure you go up little by little. And what the other guy said too! Make sure you dump the clutch not slip it. You'll get it it just takes practice.

What year r6 are those from? And how did you get the boot off the stock ones? I remember taking my mirrors off when I installed HIDs on mine and the boot seemed like it was in place. Those look wayyy better.
