Description:
I have a pair of Fieldsheer Air Perforated 2.0 leather gloves that I got as a Christmas gift, but found out they don't fit my hands very well. Unfortunately, I threw away the packaging, so...
Make sure you apply light coats... and I think flat black works best. (I ONLY had flat black, but I would imagine the gloss would not stick as well) I really like mine...
So, I was able to take the bike for a ride... the Trojan mirrors work OK... not as good as stock, but not completely useless. They vibrate a little (without taking the rubber piece off the stockers)... and unless you really crank down the screw for adjusting them, they like to move on you...
LOL... I remember that "epic" NOS thread...
Thanks for the compliments.... I think it looks great. What's even better is I'm out of pocket... $.97. LOL... for a can of flat black paint from Home Depot...
The mirrors were generic mirrors I got off eBay (actually, my bro-in-law got it...
Yeah, I'd still like to get flush mount protons... but other than that, I think I'm done... this is all I've wanted to do since I got the bike. Perhaps in a few years, I'll get a TB exhaust... but, by then I may be ready to move on...
Well, it's been a while... and due to a surgery and other things, I haven't been able to enjoy my bike for a while... well, I finally broke down and installed some mods... here's what I got..
Homemade FE kit...
I used a template from someone on here... with my own additions. ;)...
I have a Wii and an Xbox 360. The Wii is more for the family, so I have mostly kid games... and the Wii Active / Wii Fit for the wifey. The 360 is for the adults... I do mostly racing and music games (Guitar Hero 3, Rockband, Karaoke Revolution), but I'm attempting to branch out to Halo 3 and...
LOL... as I said... lesson learned.
I also got the lecture from the wife about it... It's the first time I've ridden my bike without a helmet outside of my driveway. I kind of went against my best judgement, but I was able to easily justify it... now my brand new (well, 2 months old)...
Not a good idea to ride with your helmet in the lock...
Now before the flaming starts... here's the story:
I had to report to a different location this morning for work. I felt comfortable leaving my helmet on my bike ('cause I could see it at all times)... so, I decided to use the lock...
I didn't notice much... but I think part of what we're noticing may come from our own abilities getting better... perhaps? Shifting is much smoother for me now, but I wonder if that's because of the bike... or me.
Yeah, it's 4th gear, no matter what RPM range I'm in..
I can always tell when I'm in 4th, 'cause of the whine.
Guess I'll have the dealership check it out on my next service...
If you're a car person... it's like the whine you get from aftermarket rear diff gears that aren't shimmed...
Here's me dumbstruck when I picked up my bike.... talking with the salesman about all the different features of the bike... :D
And... one of me looking like Secret Service at my sister's wedding... :D
Most of my travels have been local... however now that I'm getting more comfortable on the bike, I'm going to take a few different trips...
First one... to Tortilla Flat... has good switchbacks... nice scenery
Another one... to Roosevelt lake... nice sweepers... a few tighter turns...
It came as part of my extended warranty. Total warranty cost = $1500... extends it to 3 years, unlimited miles. Comes with 6 free services, which is 6x150 = 900.. felt like it was worth it to me, when I get an extended warranty along with it. :)
