So the quote I got was for $1,450 which includes them coming to my door step and picking it up and transporting it from FL to CA then be put on a boat to be transported to the Island. Seems pretty high. Guess I may be selling it.

I will be moving from Florida to Hawaii and wanted to see if anyone had experience in shipping a motorcycle. I know I need to drain the gas, disconnect the battery and fold mirrors in, but if there anything else I should know? Is it a hassle and I would be better off just selling it? Also anyone...

It has been sitting in my garage in Tampa... Just tried to crank it, but I think the battery is dead. Read on another forum that it would probably be fine, just run it for a while then top it off with good gas....Hoping it just the battery, because it seems like it going to start, but won't turn...

So, My bike has been left sitting for 2 months now with a 1/2 tank of gas...Is it okay to start my bike or is the gas bad now? I don't want to dmg my bike and if needed can probably siphon it out. Thanks.

What does something like this run and are shotguns hard to shoot... I have a Walter P99 and that is cake to shoot, but thinking a shotgun would be a far better home defense weapon and as someone said in another post just the sound of racking a shotgun will probably scare the person off

The seat can get really uncomfortable after about 45 min.. Feels like I'm sitting on a wood plank... But maybe that is because I have no junk in the trunk:D

I was thinking about putting the gear in the dryer, but thought that would probably be a bad idea..lol I usually wear jeans when riding so that is the worst part about it...it actually did feel good, but I felt like if I leaned over too much I would not get the traction I need.

That looks really good... Is it the photo quality or did you paint the whole bike? doesn't look as bright as the other yellow bikes.. All you need is a matching rear seat cover and your bike will look really good.

How would my helmet help? I have a shoei rf-1100 and don't want to spend much more than that. I'm not talking about wind blasting me in the face, I'm referring to fighting with the wind, if that makes any sense.

I'm comparing two different bikes, not car vs bike. I learned to ride on my 88 cane and wanted a newer bike. I think the difference is that my cane has fairing that go up along the sides of the windshield and seems to be a little more bulky.
