They will both fit....
But you also have to change the lower "knee" angle on both.
None will fit right on.
99-02 model is better for midship style while the later model is prefferable to build traditional style.
I think the header i got was from a -00 model.
After some searching around different forums i discovered that the Thundercat has fully adjustable forklegs and that it actually has a diameter of 41mm.
The length is about the same. (if i understood things right)
And you dont need to worry about changing the clamps that holds the fork.
The...
Found two pics riding one of my R6's
These are low speed cornering so im not leaning that much forward but my arm is in much better position and i think that is because of my length against the bar position?
But again... practise practise.....
Yepp, you are right.
But still i think it has something to do with the bar position/ style.
I want to lean more forward-out but I cannot because the my elbow angle will be a pain in the a**....
I i would have a clipon my position would be forced to be more forward and my outer arm leaning...
Yeah, i was also thinking of changing the bar position. Even thinking of flipping it around..? Dunno if that will work but i know a friend riding motard bike did that and it worked well.
Also thinking of upgrading fork and rear suspension to R6 parts but then i could go for a R6 instead i...
I was on a trackday yesterday.
A group of people gathering at a lokal kart-track to get more experience and to push the bikes a little more than on the road.
We have instructors riding with us and so on, can be good as the track is quite narrow and can make you suprised at any moment...
Just want to say this.
It seems like the earlier pipe is more suitable for building "midship" style and the later 03-05 is better for traditional style.
Because the earlier pipe has a shorter 2 pipe section than the later.
So if your going for a midship style go with the early pipe, it will...
Nice vid!
Did i hear a flick on the clutch there?
And are you going in 2nd gear?
I havent manage to pick it up on 2nd gear yet but yerking the gas in first is bringing the front in the air and then put in 2nd and so far 3rd gear as well.
But i feel the rpm limiter i coming too...
My girl just bought a set from Sweep, a finnish brand.
Nice price with womens clothes, girlish but with a little attitude.
Dunno if you can buy it over there but they looked allright.
She did buy this jacket.
Sweep Hentay, white - SweepFashion
You could do that.
BUT.. then you have destroyed your original system and that is not cheap to buy.
And its much easier to mod a R6 header than to mod your original header.
Thats what i think ananway.
No this is the "nude" version. kalled just XJ6
Then you have the half fairing verison called XJ6 diversion.
And finally your model, full fairing (FZ6R) called XJ6 diversion F
Now i have some pics of the system mounted.
exhaustpipe R6 -00 year
silencer MIVV carbon shortened to a total lenght of 36cm.
I still have some problems fitting my bellypan cover.
The distancebrackets i made were too short....
Hope you like the system anaway.
If you lowering it in the back i think you should let the forklegs go up by about 1cm or so also to get more of a balanced bike.
Otherwise it will be harder to corner with.
You could also try mounting a 60 profile front tire instead of the 70.
That will also lower it, but not much.
But if...
I also have to travel for some miles for a dyno. (about 100km...)
I can have a look at my computa tonight and see if i can give you any more pics of the final result. It looks really nice.
And i think if you are a bit of a handyman you can have it look really nice and save a lot of...
My plan is to do that soon.
But i also want to put it in a dyno and test it with the standard ECU and see how wrong or right it is. Maybe try to adjust the C1 and C2 values a bit to see how that works.
But i think i will do some more testruns during the week or during this weekend and take...
