I bought this bike as my first motorcycle. Personally, I think this is a great bike to start out and learn on, and 2 years later still has the shit and get that I want. She and I are the same height, although I out weigh her a bit. I have a 30 inch inseam and when wearing run of the mill...
The only thing that really took getting use to was the position of my legs while riding. They were a little bit more bent then what I was use to, as I normally rode in sneakers (I know, not so smart).
The shift control doesn't feel any different for me. I can still feel the shift changes...
I bought some graphics from Krayzie Graphics. They had a store on ebay, which has since been taken down. I didn't have the best experiance with the company, however, I love the graphics I got.
10 months as a driver, but 15+ years ridin' biotch. My 'rents gave me the motorcycle bug at 11 and I was finally able to afford to get my own last year.:D
I know that mine didn't fair so well this winter. I stored it during the winter months, but the chain and rear sprocket were covered in rust when I took it out. My BF's bike, which was stored only feet away, was fine.
I just did this a couple weeks ago. What a difference it makes to the look of the bike. I have received soooo many compliments since I did this amazingly simple mod. Everyone is saying how much nicer my bike looks! :D
I did something similar. I was attempting my first hill stop after my MSF class. Every single time I'd try to take off my bike would stall. I was getting soo irked and there was a growing line of traffic behind me. After about 3 mins. of starting and stalling, (which seemed like a life...
So, over the winter my rear sprocket became corroded and looks like crap-o-la. :( I want to get a new one, in a purdy red color the same size as stock, which I believe is 520/46, but I can't seem to find them for anything but off road bikes.
Does anyone know where I could find one?
I actually just got a pair of the Icon Bombshell boots (the best b-day present ever!) Anyway, they are super comfy, add about 2.5 inches, I feel totally confident that I have both feet firmly planted on the ground at a stop, AND they look damn sexy both on and off the bike. :D
The only...
I go through State Farm. I have 100,000/300,000 limits, $250 collision deductible and $100 Comprehensive deductible and pay $277.00 for the year.
I am 26 and have an Operation after Suspension and a ticket for not having my car inspected on my record.
Yeah, our first bike took us about 2 1/2 hours to do and then when we did mine (I was smart and let us work on his bike first :D ) it only took about 40 mins or so. We haven't had a nice day to take them out since we installed the tail lights. It's suppose to hit 50 here on Saturday. Sooooooo...
