The frame sliders stick out 3.5 inches from the engine mount on the right side and 4 inches from the bracket on the left side with the OES frame sliders. They should protect more then just the engine but I have not seen any results from crashes. I would expect that the damage to the body work...

There seems to be several options and several prices now. There are no cut sliders on ebay from $50 to $105.

Has anyone tried the "comfort seat" from Yamaha for the FZ6R? I just purchased a FZ6R about a week ago and have a little over 600 miles. I found the seat to be a little hard and saw that there is a "comfort seat" with gel inside available from Yamaha.
The stock seat is ok for shorter rides...
