Hi all! Went to start up my '09 (~4k miles) this morning and it did not want to start! Tried the starter button for about 30 seconds, pulsing on and off etc, but no dice. Gave it a little gas while pushing the button caused the engine to rev but then once I let off the gas it died...

Any other northerners on here? Checking the weather for Boston this week and its going to hit 60! Time to uncover the fz6r, pop the battery back in, fill up the tires and take her for a nice long ride! :D:D

Just wondering what others are getting charged for the first service (600 miles) from the dealer. Mine quoted me $225 which seems steep for an oil change and general tightening and lubing

I've got about 600 miles on my FZ6R now (due for first service next week). I've noticed that when I'm between 6000 and 7000 rpms, the engine gets very buzzy. I can feel the vibrations on the seat and very strongly in the footpegs. Once I get past 7K, the vibrations go away. Does this happen...

I did it! Went to the dealer today and decided on a blue FZ6R. I was very torn between this bike and the new 650R, but after sitting on both I found the Yamaha to be considerably more comfortable to me (5'11" 200lbs). The bike looked and felt great, and I can't wait to get out and ride...
