Dropping the forks for clip ons, will the stock kickstand work?

I have the woodcraft clipons with the front lowered 1.5". No problems with kickstand, the bike does stand a little more straight up when parked. I just make sure to lock the forks when I park it.

    Is FZ6R's intake system flawed?

Since the FZ6R isn't a racing motorcycle, it relies on the suction of the engine for air instead of the ram air effect used in most supersports. With our airbox design, you'll always get that oval dirt patch on the filter. best bet is to go with a K&N filter that you can clean and reuse regularly.

    Sprocket change help pls

That's right, the speedometer will show you a speed faster than you are actually going. Going up to a 17t front sprocket will make the speedometer almost perfectly accurate.

    Chain and Sprocket Combo Advice

This is the exact setup I did, except I chose the driven steel rear sprocket instead. You can still use the 118 link chain, but its gonna be less initial slack at first, but it does fit. Also make sure you get the chain with the master link instead of the clip style for the strongest chain.

Choosing a Track Bike vs a Show Pony

Not considering the R6 for a track bike? I got three friends I ride with that all have the s1000rr for mostly track days(always in novice class too) and mountain runs. Its also a decent street bike too. Probably the best compromise for what you are looking to do.

    Leaning question

Welcome! I like hitting twisties too. Have you set your rear suspension to the hardest setting yet? I found it makes a BIG difference. When my stock tires wore out I switched to Bridgestone T30s. They are good for both longer tire life and weekend mountain runs.
