I did the mod due to an accident, being cheaper than repairs. In any case - I saw an aesthetic appeal to it, so yes I like the cosmetic aspect and how it looks now versus the bicycle style handle bars. However, I did notice a slightly better handle on the bike after lowering the front end some...
I disagree with this part right here (in VA at least).. there is an advanced riders course in which you can bring your own bike and perform some more advanced maneuvers. That being said I have not taken it, so I don't know what they offer specifically in the course.
I do agree though that...

So I ended up using something called "SteelStick" by JB Weld, which was more of a putty than anything else, and is holding the tip on. I'm going to ride with that for now until it falls off or something. Love the new sound, and when...
In the middle of the exhaust mod found here

I'm trying my luck with some "QuickSteel" versus the welding for now, see how it works and holds up. So far, an hour in and it's curing/bonding well. I'll update with pics of the...
Bumping a little bit of an old thread here, but has any one done this and tried using JB Weld rather than actually welding it? I was thinking about trying that, but I wasn't sure how the high heat would mess with it. Thanks for the thoughts!
Anybody used this or any other bar ends on the woodcraft clip ons? I'm not enjoying my R6 ones and just installed the clip ons. Looking for recommendations!
Same pretty much, except I have the shogun no cut sliders, and they saved my bike last year during a crash. The customer service was off the charts good when I had to re-order the piece and didn't know the number. As for the levers, I ordered some CNC Machined ones from Amazon, like $15-20 and...
I checked around, tried re-routing some cables and viola I was able to get just enough slack to shift it further down
Also after some riding this afternoon I decided that I'm about 85% confident in the stock kickstand after lowering the front end for the mod. I'm going to look around for...
I can't slide it down further, I feel like the wires and cables are taught and don't have my slack to slide further down.. am I missing something to do with the wires/cables?
Thanks for the heads up, I'll check around!
Here are some more detailed pictures.. not sure what you want to see, but let me know and I can snag some:

After
Side shot of the clip ons (don't mind the nicks)
And side shot, not sure if you can tell how much lower the bike is now, but it's certainly a good deal lower...
Just finished this mod yesterday, but I had the same thoughts. Interested in responses. In my garage where it's flat and even I don't have any issues, but of course the parking lots we park in...well they aren't always.
This I don't know, simply because the pedals aren't moved at all. However...
