    Leaning question

Well I have to disagree with that point. Respect yes fear no. There is no need to fear your bike. I rode for years with fear which resulted in a serious collision. Once I empowered myself with knowledge, a healthy respect, along with understanding my limitations; it freed me up and I now...

    Leaning question

Buzzbomb, I am not arguing your point, I am agreeing with your analysis. That is why I listed the three books above. i think the outcome of getting it wrong is obvious and can certainly be a self correcting problem if given a second chance to fix it (should one be so lucky). Subsequently, we...

    Leaning question

You are exactly right.......hence the reason to read the three books listed above. All three go into what your talking about in even greater detail. The FZ6R is known for its light suspension at factory setting and most all riders will have to stiffen the suspension. The ultimate question is...

    Leaning question

I had the same issue... Rear suspension needs to be tighter. On another note, here a few books I found to be very helpful reference aggressive riding. Mastering The Ride. By David Bough Total Control. By Lee Parks Motprcycle 201. By David Preston Hope this helps.

Crashed my bike... (semi Bloody Pics inside)

Yep, it happens quick and when you don't expect it. We will all make mistakes on our bikes...as long as we learn from them (hopefully have that opportunity) and don't repeat them.....that's the goal.

Crashed my bike... (semi Bloody Pics inside)

Well...glad you weren't hurt badly. Everything else can fixed or replaced. Murphy's law can be a ***** but it's also a good teacher. Stay safe and keep the rubber side down.

    New to riding

That's good advise! Thank you. I think I'm starting to get it. I try to ride at every opportunity and I'm finding my bite will tell me exactly what it wants. I believe I was over thinking it and not paying attention to the sound and feel of the bike. You guys really know your stuff...

    Safety and gear

Ya I have a pair of Bates that I got on discount. They are a full track boot but think maybe I got a defect pair. They are not real comfortable and seem to pinch a little in the toe box. I noticed a lot of the riding boots seem to be a little narrow......lol I guess that's what I get for...

    Safety and gear

I'm a new rider and always wear my helmet a riding jacket, gloves, riding boots and usually have over pants on or jeans that are Kevlar lined. My question is about riding boots. Does everyone else always wear them when riding. It's a bit of a pain in the *** if your running errands. I guess...

    New to riding

I am a new rider and have just recently completed my MSF course ( And Passed !!!). The instructor did not spend much time talking about shifting.....more specifically gear to speed ratio. I guess my question is this, I usually shift between 6k and 7k which is quite smooth bit if I was...
