The only thing I'm really concern is weight, but coming from an 6r everything is lighter! :D
I'm gonna test out my buddies R1 in March and see how liter bikes handle. I know its not an Aprillia or BMW but it should give me a good idea on how they'll handle.
Mainly hot restarts bolts screws turn signals coming off at high speeds. They make Tuono sound like a wild beast that would bust your balls to tame (literally).
I personally LOVE the look and wow factor of the Tuono but the forums I've read are scary. Plagued with problems and waiting for eternity on parts. I can't say much about the s1000r since I haven't seen one in person, but the reviews make it sound great and it looks awesome in red!

Nice bike Marty! I'd like to test ride some of these bikes but the dealerships up here in the north especially NYC don't do test drives (It's been freezing up here too recently).
I've heard wonderful things about the GSXR but I personally hate the ergos, it was uncomfortable on my wrists...
I'm now seriously torn on my next bike. I don't know whether I should stay in the 600 range or jump up to 1000. The bikes I have in mind are:
BMW S1000R (2014)
Aprilia Tuono V4 ABS (2013)
Triumph Daytona 675R (2013)
I've logged about 11k miles on my fz6r since june, so I guess my experience...
At higher speeds its easier for me to control my bike, but at slow speeds doing that figure 8 always make me cringe...
When in doubt lean the way you want to turn.
So I went out for a ride today with a group of like-minded riders about 8 of us. We pulled over to a gas station and saw a black range rover pull into the same gas station. Here was the funny part, the guy went into the store and the female passenger immediately rolled up her windows, locked...
My motodynamic tail light was smashed so I had to replace. I couldn't order a new one since they were on back order so I went with the dmp. It doesn't look that bad just the casing is more clear compared to motodynamic (had a clear one)
The NYPD did sort of stop it. They broke up the large group and made it into smaller groups. You'll get flak from both sides if NYPD decides to do checkpoints on every street, because even on the weekends the city is congested. What the NYPD can do better is to have a better is watching out...
Unfortunately I drive in this cesspool of a city and these are the riders I encounter on a daily basis. I know NYC isn't the best place to own a vehicle, but I hope people realize roads are public and should learn to share. Most important of all people should own up to their mistakes. I'm...
What would you do?
I can't condone the action of these riders or the driver of the SUV.
GOPR2900 - YouTube
No riders were injured according to reports only bikes and the driver, I feel this could've been avoided if he just sat in his car. The driver in the SUV was clearly wrong after he...
depends how hard you hit the pavement with your helm. Usually you should replace them when in doubt because of the lining in the shell absorb most of the impact (You really can't see or notice it unless you rip it out)
