with that type of load, have you considered a small tailbag? i prefer since i carry a laptop and ride over 70 miles both way each day with no back strain...just sayin'
instead of going with a new bike, have you considered going +1 up front (offering higher end speed) and changing the bars to clip ons (to lower the resistance)? i think this can be done for a couple of hundred bucks or less
possibly a center stand
i'm not sure what kind of riding you do, but i picked up the center stand. it sure makes chain maint easy on trips....just saying it's an alternative option.
