OK, I follow your logic: manually adding/subtracting preload with washers. My idea though, was to take a regular 41mm cap, say from a SV650 that has a 4-way adjustable preload adjuster, and just pop that onto the FZ6R... it seems to work (in my head, that is)... what are your thoughts?

Haven't played w/ the Droid much, but if there's a little slit for silly charm-type dangling accessories, perhaps you can loop in a small piece of string, then tie it to your bars?
