Standard racers' rule is: when you miss an upshift, attempt shift up one more time. Don't forget, the rev limiter is electronic, not mechanical.

Sucks it's on the 4th but it's all good. My wife bought me tickets for my birthday so I'm going. Probably going to ride down but I don't know much beyond that.

You seem more concerned with motorcycles than with riding. Just ride for a while and see where it gets you.

What bikes over 1100cc are you talking about? Busa or are we talking about cruisers and stuff? My first bike was an '87 1100cc V-twin and it was NOT fast....my FZ6 is much faster and my 125cc dirt bike was much more likely to loop! EDIT - someday you will realize that there is no answer to...
