    LED Replacement Bulbs

Sealight H4 360 degree LEDs. There are a number of different versions.. but the ones I have radiate in two (or three, don't remember now) directions. The installation is tricky, but I got it installed without removing any of the headlight assembly. It is tricky to snap on the spring bracket. I...

    LED Replacement Bulbs

The LEDs I used radiate light in all directions, and do in fact use the reflectors. While filters will in fact filter out wavelengths not identical to the filter, they will do the same with any bulb, including those of the 'same color', as the color of the bulb and filter are seldom a perfect...

Any leads on a cheap radiator?

A nice one with fan, and some of the connectors still attached with free shipping for $125... Good find(s).

    LED Replacement Bulbs

I wanted to replace my turn signals and tail light with LED bulbs, rather than buying entire assemblies that I don't find add much in the way of appearance to the bike. The big orange blobs seem 'visible' and I wanted to make them even brighter. Not sure if they are actually brighter, but they...

A sad post - one less FZ6R on the street

Sorry for your loss, but thankful you walked away to tell the tale. My wife also limped away from the loss of her FZ6R, but broke both wrists, injured her leg and lost most of her spleen. Also wearing gear... You can always replace a bike, but body parts are tougher. You will find another bike...

    Gear indicator install

I have installed an LED gear indicator, Chinese, ordered from Ebay, about $45, and it was a fairly easy install. There are a pair of connectors that go in line with an existing connection (located Under the tank, if I remember correctly), and two wires that I believe connect to switched power...

    HAYNES SERVICE MANUAL HELP

Sorry I don't have the version you need, but you might try contacting Haynes, sending a copy of the dog mangled manual, and asking if they could send you a PDF of the pages that were mangled, so you can print it on your own dime? They have nothing to lose... I suspect any information you are...

    HAYNES SERVICE MANUAL HELP

If you would 'settle' for the Yamaha manual, I have seen it in PDF format on line, for free, for download... if no one has the Haynes available... :) Good luck either way. (I have a printed copy of the Yamaha manual, and the PDF to do quick searches).

Tom, Please consider posting pictures of your mods. I (for one) would really like to see both what you did, and how you did it, and the final results. Thank you, Jerry

    Various parts questions

For parts information, one of the best sources are the Yamaha parts lists and exploded diagrams that most of the major parts deals have online. You can look at parts / assemblies, and figure out the parts, part numbers, and search on line for them at the lowest prices. Search for genuine Yamaha...

    Fuel tank removal

Just the fuel rail, unless the air vent or overflow accidentally get fuel in them, they are the other two lines... have a rag handy when / if you disconnect them, as sloshing around during removal often splashes gas into those lines. :)
