running over bikes like bowling pins

Just a side note: This all depends on what state you are in. Many states are not "Stand your ground" states, and from my reading, more states are beginning to move away from that due to abuse of the ability. In MN for example, you can break in my door and come in the house and it is my...

Best place to ground HID ballast/harness and aux LED wires?

Doing it again: That depends on the number of things I would be hooking up to it, and the size of the connections. I routed everything to under my dash. Many people seem to put them under the dash, inside the side cowling, or under the passenger seat. To prevent short outs (because I did...

    pls recommend winter gear

I've heard lots of good things that I read (shoulda said Read alot of good things I guess! :) ) about that suit! My only think that I personally look at now is the D count. After my crash I personally want atleast 600D Cordura throughout and then increased to something like 1600+ in the...

Weatherproof switches for (1) aux LEDs and (2) PCV fuel map?

For this project, check this out (if you haven't already). Works good. Just unfortunate that many jumpers have bigger connections than fit on these panels. Motorcycle Power Relay and Distribution Block | Canyon Chasers Motorcycle Sport Touring For the waterproof boot, I agree w/ Marthy.

Best place to ground HID ballast/harness and aux LED wires?

I initially grounded to another bolt on the bike, but then after thinking about it, I just routed the ground to the battery for my HID Projector also. Thought it was easier for any kind of service to keep it close to my positive wire. Just stinks that my battery is getting SOO crowded.. Even...

    WTB: Racing Boots

I have the Sidi Vertigo boots. They are more High end Street boots, and the Upper part of low end track boots. I really like them, but if you really want Race I would agree w/ going very rigid. They will obviously protect you that much more on the street, but be that much less comfortable for...

Is it worth getting a K&N air filter?

I wouldnt replace it until you hit the 24k miles that are suggested in the manual. Unless yours is extremely dirty. The one in the bike already is a highflow. The only difference between it and the KN is washability/reusable. The Highflow OEM is actually about $49 that I have seen. So same price...

    Gas station

$3.35 by my house today. Was $3.20 on Saturday though. $0.60 more now for NonOx 91 (used to be only $0.30 more/gallon. Now EVERYWHERE around is that $0.60 more for the nonox.

You shut up on this!!! YIKES if it gets to that point!:o I will have to go buy me a 250cc bike to carry my big butt around for the extra mpg AND beg my boss for FT Work at Home! edit: Regrettably though I probably do agree.. The oil companies seem to ALWAYS be doing maintanance that they use...

Went to the Dr. this morning...

Sorry to hear about the problems. Of you have been having issues that long, I would then go for the surgery. Also as you get older, any problems you currently have will just be more bothersome AND surgery and rehab/recovery will just new harder or more difficult. Good luck and best wishes...

    First accident

I dont think it would be rear brake fluid resev. because that is actually behind your foot. The vent hoses ARE relatively close to and in front of your foot, especially if they are not pulled down all the way. You have you oil over there also. Pending on how new the oil is it could still be...

Just wanted to express the importance of safety gear.

    Heated glove liners

Do you have room in your gloves for something else between your fingers/palm and the glove material? You dont want to stretch your main gloves out. Havent heard much about the firstgear liner. The heated gloves they have (NOT THE LINERS) have somewhat mixed reviews for durability, but as a...
