    Omg I did it again!

I agree Scott, I much prefer the dual headlight look of the r6, R1 etc.. I do have to give Suzuki credit though : it is a good light. Stock headlight lights up nicely and high beam is crazy bright from what I can tell so far. Sent from my Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk 2.

    Omg I did it again!

Was able to pick up the 2014 Suzuki GSX-R600 that I won from Suzuki and the Progressive International Motorcycle Show this last Saturday morning. Will post the PR picture when can get it. Sweet ride and amazing acceleration. Now have the three bikes in the garage and need to come up with...

WTB: lightly damaged Right side fairing

I might be interested in buying someone's lightly scratched side fairing. I have 2 good fairing and 1 lightly scratched fairing from my accident. For everyday riding I have the good ones on. When I do advanced riding school days though, I would prefer to put on the lightly damaged units. Blue...

    4000 Mile Service Cost

Ouch. As mentioned before, do the oil and filter yourself and that well probably drop the price by about $80, but only actually cost you $40-50. Then adjust your own chain if comfortable with that. Then they are only checking fasteners and other things, not any main labor. If it would still cost...

    Safety and gear

I wear sidi vertigo for my fun rides. Then for commuting or errands I wear Harley Davidson Badlands which were made by Bates and can be found on Amazon. They held up very well in my crash. They look kinda like hiking/work boots. You definitely want good quality boots of some kind though...

    New to riding

5k-7k is also a great rpm to keep it at. So probably 3rd gear maybe 4 th or 5 th in the city. This is right in the meat of the power band and will give you access to plenty of power on tap if needed. Sent from my Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk 2.

Is this bike the best starter in its class for a big guy?

Welcome to the forum! I am a big guy like you. 6'4 and 283. I have the shock on 6/7 and fell the bike handles good. I agree with Marthy that you may want new springs front/rear, but you could definitely hold off a bit also and do as you can afford. You will definitely still enjoy the ride in the...

    New FZ6R Owner in Atlanta

Congrats on the new ride and welcome to the forum. Many great people and threads on here for help and diy. Best mod by far is the headlight projector. Check with Chad or do yourself. There are threads on here how to do it including one by me. Not overly hard but it is intimidating. As far...

I will post more in better lighting later. Took my wife out tonight after I put on about 100 miles to get used to it. Her first time on a bike and she is hooked. She loves it. Sent from my Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk 2.

    Second pony in the garage

LOL!! I know, Motorcycling has been good to me... Along with winning that Leather AGV Topanga Jacket two years ago from Sport Rider magazine! I asked my wife about a Spyder and she refused.. so ok, on I went. She wanted a cruiser, but when I was looking at the weight capacities they are...

    4000 Mile Service Cost

Somewhat. You take off the seat, remove the two bolts at the front of the gas tank (preferably have an almost empty tank. Then I propped up the tank with a shortened 2x4. You then disconnect the air filter housing (easy for most part) except there are 2 hose holders that are turned in a way...

Which jacket would you go with?

Good luck on the decision. I would go for whatever one interests you the most. While mesh is nice (one of my jackets is mesh) I found I was actually cooler in the 100+ degree days with my full textile jacket and the vents opened. Think it has to do with the evaporative cooling and that mesh...

    4000 Mile Service Cost

I did my own oil change for the 4k service so it only cost me like $36 or so. As you said it is mostly checking things over, not actually doing anything. Check some other dealers. Also check on price difference if you do your own oil change. Around here hourly labor is around $89-$100/hour...
